Joining the ECMS band is a wonderful opportunity available for students at ECMS.  The Escambia County Middle School band program is a rapidly growing program with an expectation of excellence.  We are one of the premier music education opportunities offered in Escamiba County, and are one of the largest student groups on campus.  The band performs at numerous concerts throughout the year, plays for some civic and school events, such as pep rallies, and serves as a pep band for select middle school athletic events.  Some older students even perform with the high school marching band.  Many students continue on into the ECHS band program, and some even go to college performing their instrument.  Today, many college admissions offices cite participation in music programs, such as band, as an important factor when deciding between students.  Many band students often receive scholarships for performing at the college level. 

We hope that you consider joining the ECMS band program.  Many students in our program participate in other organizations and clubs, such as cheerleading, robotics, and EVEN SPORTS!  We work with coaches and club sponsors to ensure students have every opportunity possible for them to succeed.  Membership in the ECMS band does require enrolling in the course as an elective.  This means band is considered co-curricular and grades will be assigned for performances outside of the ordinary school day.
